EU Regulation to Reduce Plastic Waste by 80% Set to Create Jobs and Generate €22 Billion in Savings

European union recently proposed a new regulation to reduce the amount of plastic waste. under the regulation, plastic manufacturers would be required to cover the costs of collecting and recycling their products, as well as ban certain single-use plastic products, such as straws, cutlery, and cotton buds. the regulation is expected to reduce the amount of plastic waste in the eu by 25% by 2025 and require plastic packaging to contain at least 30% recycled material by 2030.
